40 thousand Kirov residents became part of the "Postal Forest"
A regular trip to the post office can now save "light" planets. In Russia, a joint project between the Russian Post and the smart forest restoration service "Save the Forest" called "Postal Forest" has been operating for the second year. The Kirov region has become one of the most active participants: last year alone, 40,000 residents of the region joined the initiative.
The essence of the program is maximally simple and transparent. When paying for any services at the post office, one can make a voluntary contribution to nature — and in response, the postal employee will issue a receipt with a unique activation code.
After registering on the website почтовыйлес.рф, the participant gains access to a personal account where they can track the fate of the planted trees — young oaks, pines, and spruces. The project publishes photo and video reports from planting sites in forestry areas, reserves, and national parks. Thus, everyone can see the real result of their small contribution.
Over the course of two years of joint work, more than 200,000 trees have been planted across Russia, precisely where natural recovery after forest fires is virtually impossible. The total area of the "postal forest" has reached 21.5 hectares.

In the Kirov region, the results of residents' participation in a large-scale environmental project have been summarized. In 2025, more than 40,000 local clients of Russian Post voluntarily donated funds for the restoration of forests affected by fires and hurricanes. The total area of "people's" plantings across the country has already exceeded 21 hectares.
