Kirov public transport will start to be regularly inspected.

      In Kirov, employees of the transport department of the city administration, the State Traffic Inspectorate, and the state automobile and road supervision conducted a joint raid to check public transport. During the inspection, they recorded the fulfillment of the municipal contract by carriers, adherence to the schedule, the condition of rolling stock, the availability of documents on technical inspections, and fire extinguishing equipment. As reported by Ilya Kudryavtsev, an inspector from the traffic safety propaganda department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Kirov, six carriers service the city routes. In the first quarter of 2026, there were 22 traffic accidents involving public transport with injuries, 12 of which were due to the fault of drivers. During this period, there were recorded malfunctions of vehicles, violations of traffic rules, and isolated cases of lack of technical inspections and registration of buses. Following the inspection, no serious violations in the operation of buses and trolleybuses were identified. The transport department noted that interdepartmental raids will be conducted on a regular basis.
