In Kirov, residents of an apartment building were evacuated due to a burning hotel.

      Today at 7:33, the emergency services control room received a signal about a fire in one of the rooms on the first floor of a residential building on Vladimirskaya Street. As it turned out later, the fire broke out in the storage room of a local hotel.

      By the time the firefighters arrived, there were no guests in the rooms — only the administrator was present. However, there was a real threat of smoke spreading, so the rescuers decided to evacuate residents from the first two floors of the first entrance. As a result, 20 people were brought out onto the street.

      The flames were quickly contained and extinguished. This required 13 personnel and 5 units of special equipment. An inspection of the scene showed that as a result of the incident, property in the storage room was burned, and the ceiling finish in the hotel corridor was melted.

      The preliminary version of what happened is a short circuit in the old wiring. An investigator from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations continues to work at the scene. There is no official information about hospitalizations — fortunately, there were no injuries.
