On April 15, the heroine of the educational project "Lectures at the Polytechnic" at VyatSU was the director of the Department of Regional Programs at the Expert Institute of Social Research, candidate of political sciences, winner of the "Leaders of Russia. Politics" competition, and native of Kirov, Daria Kislytsina. Daria Olegovna has made an impressive career in a relatively short period, achieving significant success in the field of expertise and public policy. The professional experience of this talented compatriot sparked great interest among VyatSU students – the lecture "Expertise as a Profession. Principles of Social Architecture in Work" was primarily addressed to them.
Before her speech, Daria Kislytsina outlined the main milestones of her professional journey, including her studies at the Faculty of Political Science at Moscow State University, defending her candidate dissertation, and her early work experience.
— I always advise taking on any job – no matter what age you are. Just take it on and work. The more you work, the more expertise you gain. The more expertise you have, the more valuable you are not only in terms of money but – most importantly – in terms of your name and status, — the speaker emphasized.

Speaking about her professional activities, Daria Olegovna particularly noted her participation in electoral campaigns. This work helped her to get to know the regions well: it is there that Daria Kislytsina spends most of her time. The lecturer talked about various electoral campaigns: in Chukotka and Yakutia, in Kirov region and Irkutsk. She summarized:
— There are qualitative changes happening in the regions. They are a source of pride for how the country is developing.
A number of theses were illustrated by Daria Olegovna with personal examples. Almost 20 years ago, she chose to study in the capital of Russia; but now, in her opinion, a school graduate is in different conditions:
— The situation has radically changed in the regions. There is a fundamental difference regarding the choices young people have: to leave or to stay. I can speak about this with expert confidence because I travel and see what is happening in the regions.
Now, the more I communicate with smart young people in the regions, the more often I hear the opinion: there is no need to leave, more and more opportunities are being created directly in the region.

As professional support, Daria Kislytsina recommended that students pay attention to the "Russia – Land of Opportunities" platform, which offers various programs, grant competitions, and internships. Career advancement can be facilitated by participating in the "Leaders of Russia" competition, aimed at finding not only bright individuals but also – recently – cohesive teams of like-minded people.
Unpacking the topic of expertise, the speaker noted the most important career tracks, including analytics, work in government and public organizations, and media. Commenting on them, the lecturer emphasized:
— Right now, the most important thing is the ability to generate and formulate meanings. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for quality analytics and journalism.
Daria Kislytsina shared her thoughts on social architecture as a purposeful activity for designing and organizing socially significant changes aimed at developing social systems. Among the most successful social architecture projects, the expert named "Immortal Regiment" and projects aimed at creating a comfortable urban environment.
An hour and a half flew by unnoticed. The audience showed lively interest, asking good, intelligent questions. However, they were not exhausted – both the audience and the lecturer are ready for further meetings. Rector of VyatSU Valentin Pugach added fuel to the fire by suggesting a future discussion format continuing the topic of "to leave or to stay in the region."
So, new meetings with Daria Kislytsina are ahead. Meanwhile, all participants are grateful to her for the informal talk, valuable experience, motivation, and inspiration.
