      Spring exacerbation?

      In Sosnovka, discussions, mostly mocking, have not yet subsided after our April publication "Antrè in Sosnovka: the deputies of the City Duma found the suggestion to 'serve the homeland in the SVO' offensive," as Nikita Gorelov was once again summoned "to provide explanations" regarding the accusation of insulting the head of the district, Victoria Pelevina.

      As Victoria Valeryevna explained in her police statement, back in early 2025, the city manager of Sosnovka called her in personal correspondence in the messenger "Telegram" "such a scum, that you should be lifted on forks." However, she could not provide at least one, even indirect, piece of evidence of "defamation of honor and humiliation" of Pelevina. So from the attached screenshots of empty Telegram pages, where it is indicated that a four-day auto-delete timer is enabled, one can only assume that the correspondence did take place.

      As Gorelov explained, at the beginning of the year, they indeed debated with the head of the district about transferring the village road, for which budget funds are not allocated, to district and then regional management. But even though Victoria Valeryevna actively resisted the reasonable proposal to "change the status of the city dirt road," he did not plan to quarrel or, even more so, argue with her. Moreover, he understood: a dialogue with Pelevina, especially "in raised tones," would immediately become known to a much wider circle of people than just the two of them.

      Also, having returned to Sosnovka after two years of service in the SVO zone, he would hardly use the words "scum" and "forks" even against an enemy, let alone a superior lady.

      But the police's eagerness to take "Pelevina's statement as an axiom" or a dogma, despite the absurdity of the statement, required Nikita Vasilyevich to provide evidence of his "non-involvement in the insult." However, when the police's accusatory attempts ran out, the "case" was handed over to the prosecutor's office. Gorелов was informed of this by a decree at the end of last week.

      Almost simultaneously with the lady's statement, recalling her personal grievance a year later, a local resident, Vladimir Babushkin, submitted a statement to the Investigative Committee, eagerly reporting to the authorities about Gorelov's possible "self-seizure of power" in Sosnovka, similar to a military coup.

      The accusation against the head of the city administration of organizing a "local coup" was based on the fact that in February, Gorelov refused to send transport and people to clean... the well.

      "From Babushkin, a complaint was received in the administration, I went to sort it out. The road to the houses, and his residence, is cleared, access roads are free. But the complainant insisted that they clean up the area around his personal sewage well, claiming that it is a 'fire access.' At the same time, Babushkin believed that firefighters should come and pump out his personal 'sewage,' which, apparently, could extinguish some fire. I explained that the well, like its contents, is his personal area of responsibility, which offended the man to the core. Thus, the statement about the seizure of power and military coup appeared," explains Nikita Gorelov.

      By the way, most of the local population believes that a campaign against their "inconvenient and therefore undesirable mayor" has been launched, who puts the interests of the townspeople above the ambitions of district and even regional authorities.

      "This is real revenge, primarily for Nail Saitov, who is currently on trial for the criminal case of the 'garbage house.' For ten years, local authorities did not allow the case to proceed — after all, who would dare accuse a person of fraud if he calls himself 'the right hand of Ravil Nurgaliyev' (owner of the 'Molot-Oruzhiye' factory, deputy of the Legislative Assembly). He was still 'standing with one foot in the Zaks' six months ago and still heads the City Duma, being a leader and stronghold of the ruling party," shares her opinion Ekaterina, who believes that the residents of Sosnovka have begun to understand for the first time in many years that there is truth, and it is worth fighting for.
