The incident occurred in the evening at one of the houses on Uspenskaya Street. According to preliminary data, two men were drinking alcohol, but the gathering ended in a conflict and a fight. During the quarrel, one of the participants grabbed a stool leg and struck his opponent on the head several times before fleeing the scene.
Witnesses called an ambulance. The victim was hospitalized with injuries.
The suspect was searched for throughout the night. Around seven in the morning, a crew from the National Guard noticed a man on the street who matched the description. He was detained.
According to the agency, the 54-year-old resident of Kirov was handed over to the police for further investigation.
