The prosecutor's office of the Kiknur district achieved a severe property penalty for an elderly traffic offender. A 64-year-old local resident, who had previously been caught driving under the influence, got behind the wheel again while intoxicated. The incident occurred on October 14, 2025. The pensioner was driving a car until he was stopped and removed from driving by traffic police inspectors. A check revealed that the driver was "under the influence," and importantly, he already had an "administrative offense" for a similar act in the past. During the court hearing, the state prosecutor insisted on the harshest approach. The court took into account the severity of the repeated crime, as well as the fact that the defendant fully admitted his guilt. As a result, the man was sentenced to a fine of 70,000 rubles and deprived of the right to drive any vehicles for 2.5 years. However, the most unpleasant surprise for the offender was the decision to confiscate the car. The court applied Article 104.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, converting the personal vehicle of the notorious offender into state revenue. Now his car has been sold at auction to the treasury, and the 64-year-old motorist is left without his main means of transportation.
