Road repairs have begun in Kirov.

      So far, contractors have begun the preparatory stage — replacing curbs on a number of city streets. As reported by the landscaping department, work is already underway on Lepse, Traktovaya, Zagorodnaya streets, as well as on Oktyabrsky Avenue — on the section from Vladimirskaya Street to Lepse Square. In addition, repairs have started on Profsoyuznaya Street — from Svobody Street to the bridge over the Vyatka River. Here, not only the roadway will be updated, but also the pedestrian zone.

      Priority is given to sections with heavy traffic and those where a religious procession is planned. Next week, contractors will begin milling the old asphalt. The main work will be carried out mainly at night to reduce the load on the transport network.

      Starting in May, road workers will also move on to other projects. Plans include restoring the pavement on Luganskaya, Lomonosov streets, as well as on the road from the village of Soshena to the Raduzhny microdistrict.

      In total, 16 sections of roads with a total length of almost 19 kilometers are planned to be repaired in Kirov in 2026 — both in the central part of the city and on the outskirts.
