At a government meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov reminded that in September 2023 he instructed the head of Kotelnich, Oleg Ismailov, to resolve the issue of connecting the municipal "Gorvodokanal" to gas. For over two years, the Ministry of Housing and Utilities has been reminding local authorities of this opportunity. The head of Kotelnich promised in his letter to prepare the documentation and submit the application by the first quarter of 2025. However, this application has not yet been submitted.
Sokolov harshly criticized Ismailov: "Is two and a half years not enough for you, or is there no understanding that this is serious savings? This is money for the residents." The head of Kotelnich responded that the management of "Gorvodokanal" initially planned to submit the application and promised to develop the project, but then it turned out that there were no competent specialists for this, so the matter stalled.
The governor said that the head personally promised to connect the enterprise to gas, took responsibility, and since he took it, he must fulfill it: "You need to be accountable. Respond. Can we help you? Colleagues, help. We give you a month. If it is not done — there will be trouble."
