Fraudsters forced a Kirov schoolgirl to "hand over" an apartment with money.

A 55-year-old resident of Kirov contacted the police. She reported that her 16-year-old daughter, under pressure from fraudsters, effectively helped outsiders break into their home. It all started with a call supposedly from a marketplace courier, who obtained the teenager's personal data. Then, a fake employee of the Ministry of Digital Development called the girl and informed her about an alleged hacking of her account on "Gosuslugi" and a power of attorney issued for a "terrorist."

After that, pseudo-law enforcement officers joined the conversation. Scaring the schoolgirl with accusations of treason, they forced her to show the apartment via video call. Upon learning about the presence of a safe, the fraudsters convinced the girl to leave the keys to the apartment in a hiding place near the school.

Later, unknown individuals broke into the apartment, opened the metal safe, and stole money in rubles and foreign currency. When the owner returned home, she discovered the theft.

During operational activities, the police identified the accomplice — a 20-year-old student from Yekaterinburg. She was detained by transport police on a train at a station in Nizhny Novgorod. She had the stolen funds with her.

During interrogation, the girl admitted that she had previously become a victim of fraudsters, after which she was recruited as a courier. Following their instructions, she arrived in Kirov, took the keys, broke into the house, opened the safe with tools, and disappeared. She was supposed to hand over the money to an intermediary in Moscow.

A criminal case has been initiated under part 3 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspect has been detained, and a decision is being made regarding the measure of restraint. The investigation is ongoing.
