A head of the tourism development department has been appointed in Kirov.
At the last government meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov announced the creation of a department for the development of tourism, folk and artistic crafts. It will be overseen by Deputy Prime Minister Denis Pestrikov.
At today's meeting, it was announced that Olga Averyanova will lead the new institution. Previously, she was the deputy director of the tourism development center of the Kirov region. She has been in public service for over five years. Sokolov urged her to "turn tourism and folk crafts into another driver of the region's economy" and congratulated her on the appointment.
