The rules for admission to the first grade have been explained to the residents of Kirov.
In the Kirov region, the enrollment of children in the first grades is starting. As explained by the regional Ministry of Education, enrollment follows federal rules and regional legislation.
Until June 30, applications are accepted from parents of children living in the territory assigned to the school, as well as from privileged categories—those who have the right to priority, first priority, or preferential enrollment.
From July 6, parents of children not belonging to the assigned territory will be able to submit documents. Enrollment will continue as long as there are available places in schools.
Priority is given to children of prosecutors, judges, Investigative Committee employees, as well as families of deceased participants in the Special Military Operation (SMO). Children of military personnel, police officers, and other law enforcement agencies are accepted first.
Children whose siblings already attend the chosen school have an advantage in enrollment. Additionally, the region has implemented extra support measures: children of medical workers, educators, and, starting in 2026, children of combat veterans are accepted first.
After June 30, schools will issue enrollment orders within three working days. First, they will accept children with privileges living in the assigned territory, and then all others.
It is specified that certain territories are assigned to each school, which are established by local authorities. For regional lyceums and gymnasiums in Kirov, the entire city territory is assigned.
Parents can receive consultation on enrollment issues by calling the Ministry of Education's hotline: 27-27-34 ext. 3424. Kirov residents were informed about what can put a schoolchild on record. A case has been opened against the former contractor of the school on Torfyanaya, and searches are underway. Parents of Kirov first-graders were offered to "rehearse" the enrollment process.
