In the Kirov region, a Laika bit a child.

In the Kirov region, a case of a dog attacking a child has been recorded. The incident occurred in the Luzsky district: in March, a Laika named Rex bit a boy born in 2013.

As reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor, materials regarding the incident were received from the police and the regional veterinary service. After the bite, the dog's owner did not immediately contact a veterinary clinic — the animal was brought in for examination only three days later, which is a violation of established rules.

In addition, the dog was not provided in time for mandatory quarantine under the supervision of specialists, and after its completion, the owner refused vaccination against rabies.

The supervisory authority noted that such actions pose a threat to the life and health of people. A warning has been issued to the owner regarding the inadmissibility of violations of veterinary legislation.
