On Great Saturday, April 11, the Holy Fire will be delivered from Jerusalem to Moscow by a special flight. It will then be sent to dozens of cities in Russia, including Kirov. This is reported on the website of the Andrew the First-Called Foundation, which traditionally handles the delivery.
In Moscow, the fire will be welcomed at Vnukovo Airport, after which it will be transferred to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. In Kirov, as in other cities (Arkhangelsk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Yakutsk, and about 50 others), the fire will be delivered separately.
According to established practice, lamps with the Holy Fire will be available in the churches. The exact time and place of arrival in Kirov are being clarified.
