Kirov agrarians have increased the production of meat and eggs.
According to the report on the socio-economic situation of the region for the first two months of 2026, agricultural organizations in the region produced livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight) of 20.5 thousand tons — 4.3% more than in January-February 2025. The gross milk yield amounted to 141.1 thousand tons, which is only 0.4% higher than last year's level. 107.1 million eggs were produced — an increase of 3.8%.
The milk yield per cow in agricultural organizations reached 1523 kg, increasing by 0.9%. On average, 54 eggs were obtained from one laying hen.
Compared to the same period last year, the volume of potato sales increased by 59.2%, and vegetables grown in open and closed ground — by 31.2%. At the same time, sales of grain and leguminous crops decreased by 6.4%, and seeds and fruits of oilseeds — by 22.8%.
Among livestock products, the sale of livestock and poultry (in live weight) increased by 2.4%, milk from cattle — by 0.7%, and eggs — by 0.5%.
