With money, flowers, or not at all: how employees are congratulated on their birthdays in Kirov
According to a survey of employers conducted by the "SuperJob" service, 23% of companies give employees money, while 27% give gifts or flowers. Another 11% of employees can leave early or receive an additional day off. Electronic greetings are practiced in 21% of organizations, and company products or discounts on them are given in only 5% of cases. At the same time, 35% of companies do not provide any greetings. Among the employees themselves, 63% reported that it is customary to give gifts on birthdays in their teams: 53% view this positively, while another 10% do so without much enthusiasm. Women support the tradition more often than men (56% versus 50%). It is also noted that younger employees perceive such initiatives more positively: among respondents under 35, 62% approve of them, while among those over 45, it is about 50%. Furthermore, 79% of respondents said that in their companies it is customary to bring or order treats for colleagues on their birthday. More than half do this with pleasure, while a quarter do so without much desire.
