Restrictions at Kirov airport were introduced on April 7 at 23:25. Around the same time, similar measures were in effect in Bugulma, Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Samara, Ulyanovsk, Cheboksary, Izhevsk, Saratov, and Penza. Later, Orenburg, Perm, and Ufa were added to the list.
By midnight, some restrictions were lifted: the airports in Saratov and Penza began operating normally. No updated information has yet been received for the other cities, including Kirov.
Rosaviatsiya cited the need to ensure flight safety as the reason for the restrictions.
