Sokolov went to service.

      In the Holy Assumption Cathedral of Kirov, a festive Divine Liturgy was conducted by Metropolitan Mark of Vyatka and Sloboda. The service began at 9:20 with the ringing of bells. The hierarch was assisted by the abbot of the Trifon Monastery, Archimandrite Ioann (Muravyov), Igumen Benjamin (Veselov), and Priest Andrey Vasilyev. The hymns were performed by the choir of the Assumption Cathedral under the direction of Anna Rusakova.

      Among the parishioners in the cathedral was the governor of Kirov Oblast, Alexander Sokolov, with his family. Cossacks from the Vyatka District Cossack Society, led by Ataman Viktor Ryabenko, were also present at the service.

      Before communion, Archimandrite Ioann addressed the believers with a sermon. He urged the faithful to open their souls to the Savior through faith, repentance, and acts of mercy. After the liturgy, Metropolitan Mark performed the glorification of the feast and sprinkled the parishioners with holy water from willow branches.
