As a supplement, amateur meteorologists published a forecast map from the European ECMWF model for the period from April 4 to 15. It shows total precipitation (in mm) by regions. According to the breakdown, in Kirov and the central part of the region, 20-30 mm is expected — this is a moderate green zone. The western part of the region will fall into a yellow spot with a figure of up to 39 mm — there will be more precipitation, frequent snowfalls and wet snow are likely. In the northern part of the region, the total precipitation will be 5-15 mm, in the south — 5-10 mm, in the east — 10-20 mm. The authors clarify: the map shows the total precipitation, not its type. At the beginning of April, this can be snow, wet snow, or rain. But with such volumes, it is not about an extreme snowfall, but rather about a prolonged periodic front.
