125 settlements in the Kirov region have been cut off from the world.
During the meeting, the head of the region, Alexander Sokolov, reported that the flooding in the Kirov region continues, exacerbated by the rains. Over the course of a day, the water level rose from seven centimeters (on the Kilmiz River) to 102 centimeters (on the Cheptsa River).
In the transportation sector, officials are monitoring three incidents. Specifically, a low-water metal bridge in the Kiknur district was flooded, as well as sections of roads in the Oparino district and Yaran. Additionally, 25 residential areas in Sanchursk, Kirov (Bakhta), and Yaran have been flooded.
Due to the raising or dismantling of bridges, transportation communication has been disrupted with 125 settlements in the Afanasyevsky, Darovsky, Zuevsky, Kilmizsky, Kiknur, Luzsky, Malmyzhsky, Nolin, Oparino, Soviet, and Kirov-Chepetsk districts. According to Sokolov, there are supplies of food, medicine, fuel and lubricants, and everything necessary is ensured, along with fire safety. He urged to keep the situation under control, stay in touch with residents, and do everything possible for them.
