The slope of the ravine of Zasor in Kirov will become an open-air spectator amphitheater.
The Zasor Ravine will change its status from a quiet green corner to a noisy cultural spot on the city's map this summer. The authors of the project, which won the "City of Good Neighbors" competition, found an unusual use for the local landscape. The steep slope will become a natural amphitheater — spectators will sit directly on it in rows, like in bleachers. The flat area below is designated for the stage and dance floor.
From May to September, a series of outdoor events is planned here. In one evening, guests will be able to learn a new dance: from the classic waltz and rock 'n' roll to folk quadrilles or slow blues. In addition to workshops, the organizers have prepared concerts with live music and screenings of Soviet films. The films will be selected based on the age of the audience and the theme of each evening.
A total of 134 applications were submitted for the "City of Good Neighbors" competition. Experts approved 34 projects with a total amount of 8.9 million rubles. The maximum grant size reached 300,000 rubles. The administration of Kirov's organizational work noted that this year all initiatives are event-oriented and designed for residents of all ages.
