After finishing her cigarette, she threw the smoldering butt into the dry grass, tried to extinguish it with her foot, and left. However, the butt continued to smolder. Soon, the dry vegetation and garbage caught fire, after which the flames spread to the pavilion. As a result, the building sustained serious damage. In March of this year, the court found the woman guilty of causing damage to someone else's property through negligence. She was fined criminally. In addition, the convicted woman was ordered to pay compensation for the damage—about 800,000 rubles. The sentence has already come into legal force.
