Pedagogical colleges in the Kirov region made it into the national ranking of graduate employment for 2026. But there is a nuance.

      According to the authors of the ranking, two indicators reflecting the employment and income level of graduates are taken into account:

      the share of employed full-time graduates two years after graduation

      the median income of full-time graduates two years after graduation.

      Colleges with a small number of graduates (the "Pedagogy" specialty group), including those in the Kirov region, are highlighted in separate rankings. However, our regional "small ones" fell into the section of educational organizations with a number of graduates below the median value.

      The Industrial-Pedagogical College of the city of Sovetsk took 18th place out of a possible 60. Its final ranking score was 1.15 points. The Kirov Pedagogical College occupies the 28th position in the ranking with a score of 1.05 points. The Omutninsky College of Pedagogy, Economics, and Law and the Oryol College of Pedagogy and Professional Technologies hold the same place with the same score of 1.05.

      The Slobodskoy College of Pedagogy and Social Relations is in 37th place with a score of 0.96 points. The Humanities College of the city of Vyatskiye Polyany is in 45th place with a score of 0.88 points.

      Judging by the section of educational organizations with a number of graduates below the median value and the positions occupied by educational institutions of secondary vocational education in the Kirov region, only a small portion of graduates from these colleges find employment in their specialty. And those who work in their field for more than two years are likely even fewer.
