At the last meeting, the Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Sandalov, responded that he would not trust AI with the functions of the Ministry of Economic Development, such as developing forecasts for socio-economic development.
Today, at a government meeting, Governor Alexander Sokolov recalled this conversation. "Will AI replace part of the government or not?" he said. "Of course, it will replace it. AI helps perform technical work, can conduct analysis, and systematize information. What dozens of employees will do in a week, with the right request, will be done in minutes."
Sokolov added that despite all this, AI, no matter how good it is, will not be able to implement "our Russian style of management," which is aimed at supporting people rather than making a profit. Therefore, it is worth implementing AI, but it will not completely replace people.
