According to the police, a report of the incident was received on the evening of March 26. The incident occurred in the area of the village of Lenin's Spark: a man born in 1968 was moving on ice on a snowmobile and fell through. Witnesses reported that around 7 PM he called acquaintances and asked for help, as he could not independently cross one of the sections of the river. When they arrived on their snowmobiles, the situation had already become critical: the man had gone under the ice, and he could not be saved. At the same time, the snowmobiles of his acquaintances also fell through the ice. Currently, search operations are being conducted by police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. Residents of the region are warned about the dangers of going out onto the ice: at present, there are bans in place on most bodies of water in the Kirov region due to the spring thaw.
