Kirov employers spoke about monitoring employees on social media.
It turned out that 53% of organizations do not have any rules for employees on social media at all. At the same time, some companies do impose restrictions:
in 15% of cases, access to social media from workstations is prohibited,
14% require adherence to ethical statements,
10% prohibit negative comments about the company,
9% do not allow publishing any information about the employer,
4% impose restrictions on posting photos from work or in uniform.
At the same time, almost a third of employers (31%) specifically emphasize the prohibition on disclosing commercial or state secrets.
Despite the existence of restrictions, real conflicts due to social media arise rarely. Only 4% of Kirov residents admitted that they received remarks from their employer for publications or behavior online. Moreover, men encounter this slightly more often than women.
Among typical violations are posting photos from the workplace, pictures from parties, or comments and posts that employers consider inappropriate.
