Honorary signs "For Assistance to the Special Military Operation" have appeared in the Kirov region.
Today, at the plenary session of the Legislative Assembly, deputies considered a draft law proposed by the prosecutor's office, introducing a new honorary badge in the region — "For Assistance to the Special Military Operation." It was suggested to award those who help fighters, their families, residents of Donbas, and border areas.
Deputy Albert Bikalyuk expressed the opinion that the draft law is raw and that the cost of producing one badge (38,600 rubles) is exorbitant. He expressed doubt that ordinary people helping the front would be awarded this badge — especially at such a price.
A similar opinion was voiced by Deputy Sergey Mamaev, who stated that the draft law lacks a clear financial justification for the cost of producing the badges. By the way, there is a justification, but it only states that the authors studied the prices of several manufacturers and calculated the average arithmetic value.
Deputy Vyacheslav Tsaryuk noted that the draft law is important, but awards should be given to more than just 10 people, as indicated in the document. The prosecutor's representative replied that if they manage to save on the production of badges, the number could be increased.
Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Roman Beresnev, outraged by Bikalyuk's speech, noted that it might indeed be possible to save on the production of badges. He urged the deputy "not to measure awards, but to actually do something for the participants of the special military operation."
During the voting, 38 people voted in favor. One abstained.
