The Legislative Assembly will ask Mishustin to help with unfinished private houses.

      Today, at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly, deputies considered the governor's proposal to address the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, regarding the protection of the rights of people who were deceived in the construction of private houses. In particular, the head of the region proposed to create an interdepartmental working group under the Government of Russia to develop regulatory legal acts that would help people from the aforementioned category and introduce measures of accountability for unscrupulous contractors. Deputy Albert Bikalyuk inquired about how this appeal would specifically help and why it should be directed to Mishustin rather than the head of the State Duma. He was told that it is necessary to amend federal legislation so that all contracts for the construction of private houses go through escrow accounts and to establish a registry of deceived owners of private houses and ways to assist them. The government is working on developing such proposals, which is why the appeal was decided to be directed to Mishustin. During the voting, 39 deputies supported the initiative. No one opposed it.
