The Kirov region is expecting a heat peak on March 28.
According to the Telegram channel "Amateur Meteorology in Kirov," the peak of heat in the region is expected on March 28. In the southern areas of the region, thermometers may rise to +16 degrees.
As the authors of the channel note, this event can be called historic — such high temperatures for the end of March are rare.
"We are experiencing a historic wave of heat with you, which will undoubtedly go down in history as a significant event," the message states.
Forecast maps confirm the abnormal nature of the weather. At an altitude of about 1.5 km (level 850 hPa), the air temperature is estimated at +11…+16 degrees, which significantly exceeds the climatic norm. Over the central areas of the region, including Kirov, +13…+15 degrees is expected, and further south — up to +16 degrees.
Such indicators are explained by a stable transfer of warm air from the southwest. The maps show that the warm air mass covers a vast territory, and the temperature field remains even, without sharp boundaries of cold. This indicates a stable atmosphere and the absence of active fronts, which will ensure calm weather.
