As established by the investigation and the court, the tragedy occurred on the evening of August 9, 2025, in the village of Ganino. A 67-year-old resident of Kirov, while drunk, had a quarrel with his 60-year-old brother. The verbal conflict quickly escalated into violence: the man inflicted several stab wounds to his relative's chest and abdomen. The victim died on the spot from the injuries sustained.
Despite the fact that the accused did not admit guilt, investigators managed to gather sufficient evidence. The court found the man guilty of murder and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. He will serve his sentence in a high-security penal colony.
