More than 360 kilometers of roads have been repaired in the Kirov region.
According to the regional government, in 2025, more than 360 kilometers of roads were brought to regulatory condition in the area. The laying of the upper layers of asphalt concrete amounted to 1.7 million square meters — this is one and a half times more than the previous year.
Separately, under the "Road Billion" project, 155 facilities were repaired with a total length of 90.7 kilometers in 100 municipalities. Capital repairs were also carried out on three rural roads.
The plans for 2026 are also ambitious: the region intends to repair about 350 kilometers of regional highways, install lighting in 95 settlements, and conduct repairs on the runway at the Pobedilovo airport.
Construction of the road to the northwest of the region will continue. In 2025, asphalt reached the village of Oparino for the first time. In the next three years, the road with coverage will be extended to Podosinovets, and after 2028 — to Luza.
The main infrastructure project in the region is the construction of a tunnel under the Trans-Siberian Railway in the Novovyatsky district of Kirov. In 2025, the contractor began creating the "body" of the tunnel. The main volume of work is planned for 2026, for which about 4 billion rubles are allocated from the federal and regional budgets.
