In St. Petersburg, they changed the coach after the match with the Kirov team.

As we reported, on Saturday, March 21, the Kirov "Dynamo" footballers defeated the Zenit reserve team 4:2 in St. Petersburg. The next day, the head coach of the losing team, Konstantin Konoplev, left his position. According to the official version, the management and the coach "made a joint decision to terminate the cooperation early."

On one hand, the decision seems logical - in the new season, "Zenit-2" has drawn once and suffered three defeats. In the league table, it occupies second to last place.

At the same time, just six months ago, the team under Konoplev's leadership became the best in its group of the Second League B, gaining the opportunity to move up to the "Silver" division. It would probably have been more logical to allow the coach and his players to settle into the new level.

But that is already the problem of the St. Petersburg club. As for our "Dynamo," it will play its first home match of the season on March 28. The opponent is the Perm "Amkar."
