At the solemn opening of the competition, the honored guest was Leonid Nikolaevich Kostin, a legend of Vyatka judo and an honorary member of the Judo Federation of the Kirov Region. Oleg Valenchuk, a State Duma deputy and president of the Judo Federation of the Kirov Region, also welcomed the participants and guests. As a result, the champions of the Kirov Region were: Ilya Naumov (Kirovo-Chepetsk), Yaroslav Maletin (Kirov, Sports School "Yunost"), Andrey Obukhov (Kirov, "Path of the Warrior" club), Egor Rumyantsev (Kirovo-Chepetsk), Anton Syuzev (Sovetsk, "Kukarskie Medvedi"). The young judokas from Kirovo-Chepetsk, Vyatskie Polyany, and Urzhum showed excellent performances at the Kirov Region Championship.
