The champions of the Kirov region in judo have been announced.
At the solemn opening of the competition, the honored guest was Leonid Nikolaevich Kostin, a legend of Vyatka judo and an honorary member of the Judo Federation of the Kirov Region. Oleg Valenchuk, a State Duma deputy and president of the Judo Federation of the Kirov Region, also welcomed the participants and guests. He noted that judo is not just a sport, but a whole philosophy based on discipline, hard work, and perseverance. "Competitions held in an atmosphere of fair play and mutual respect contribute to the improvement of professional skills and strengthen the character of our athletes," emphasized Oleg Valenchuk. Among the participants were both experienced and very young judokas, each striving to demonstrate their best qualities on the tatami. As a result, the champions of the Kirov Region were: Ilya Naumov (Kirovo-Chepetsk), Yaroslav Maletin (Kirov, Sports School "Yunost"), Andrey Obukhov (Kirov, "Path of the Warrior" club), Egor Rumyantsev (Kirovo-Chepetsk), Anton Syuzev (Sovetsk, "Kukarskie Medvedi"). The young judokas from Kirovo-Chepetsk, Vyatskie Polyany, and Urzhum showed excellent performances at the Kirov Region Championship. These competitions gathered 167 participants from various districts of the region and Kirov, who demonstrated a high level of skill and sportsmanship.
