The central bank has maintained restrictions on transfers abroad.
According to the regulator's website, the Central Bank of Russia is suspending operations for transferring funds abroad by non-residents from unfriendly countries from the accounts of brokers and trust managers for another six months starting April 1 of this year.
The restrictions apply to transfers from the accounts of both individuals and legal entities opened with Russian brokers and trust managers. It should be noted that such measures have been in place in Russia since April 1, 2022.
The mentioned restrictions do not apply to the return of funds abroad by foreign investors or foreign entities acting in the interests of investors who invest in the Russian financial market, as well as funds accounted for in "In" type accounts with Russian brokers and trust managers.
The Central Bank noted that such a decision was made to maintain financial stability.
