216 violations in a year: preventive patrols conducted at railway crossings in Kirov

Employees of the Gorky Railway said that during events with motorists they held explanatory talks about the rules for passing level crossings. In total, preventive talks were held with 37 drivers; thematic leaflets and brochures were also distributed to them. According to the Gorky Railway, in 2025 the number of traffic violations at crossings decreased by 16% compared with the previous year — 216 cases were recorded. At the same time, over the past year there were 8 collisions between cars and trains at Gorky Railway crossings, in which 4 people were injured. For comparison, in 2024 there were 18 such accidents registered, with 20 people injured. Among the most common violations are ignoring prohibitory signals at crossings, driving around a lowering barrier, and failing to comply with the "Stop" sign when approaching crossings.
