In Kirov Oblast, the monthly payment from maternity capital has been increased.

      The Kirov Region branch of the Social Fund has indexed the amount of the monthly payment from the maternity (family) capital in connection with an increase in the region’s subsistence minimum. As of January 2026 the benefit is 16,350 rubles — this corresponds to the established subsistence minimum for a child in the Kirov Region. The increase was applied automatically, so parents did not need to submit additional applications. The payment is provided to families whose per capita income does not exceed twice the subsistence minimum. In the Kirov Region this threshold is 33,710 rubles per family member. The funds can be used for any everyday needs. The payment is granted for a period of one year, with the possibility of extension until the child reaches three years of age. If the application is submitted within six months after the child’s birth, the money is paid from the date of birth; otherwise, from the month of application. Applications can be submitted via the Gosuslugi portal, as well as at the client service offices of the Kirov Region branch of the Social Fund and at multifunctional centers (MFCs).
