Residents of Kirov sent nearly a ton of plastic for recycling at the train station.

      In 2025, 766 kilograms of plastic caps were collected at the Kirov railway station and sent for recycling. That is 16% more than the previous year, the Gorky Railway reported.

      A heart-shaped container installed by the station building fills with about 60 kilograms of recyclables each month. The plastic caps are then sent to a recycling plant.

      The environmental art installation appeared at the Kirov station in 2022 as part of a separate waste collection program. The project is aimed not only at reducing the environmental impact but also at providing assistance to the Kirov rehabilitation center for children with disabilities.
