In Darovsky District, a habitual drunk driver had his car confiscated and was forced to work.

      As reported by the prosecutor’s office, on the night of October 18, 2025, a man was driving an Opel Astra and was traveling along Gagarin Street in the settlement of Darovskoy. The vehicle was stopped by police officers. The driver showed obvious signs of intoxication, after which he was removed from operating the vehicle.

      During the check it was established that the man had previously been held administratively liable for a similar offense — driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

      The court agreed with the public prosecutor’s position and sentenced the offender to 200 hours of mandatory community service with deprivation of the right to operate motor vehicles for two years. In addition, at the prosecutor’s request the convict’s car was confiscated and transferred to state ownership.
