The publication “RIA Novosti” published a ranking of Russian regions by crime rate. In it, Kirov Oblast ranked 74th (the closer to the end of the ranking, the worse the situation).
Last year, the oblast recorded 159.6 crimes per 10,000 people. This is 7.8% less than in 2024. The number of serious crimes was 47.8 per 10,000 inhabitants. This figure fell by 9.2%.
It should be noted that the situation is best in Chechnya and Ingushetia. At the bottom are Karelia and Zabaykalsky Krai.
