Two people were killed in traffic accidents in the Kirov region during the New Year holidays.
One of the fatal road accidents occurred on January 11 in Kirov. At about 9:20 a.m. on 153 Lenina Street, a 59-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi Outlander crashed into a traffic light pole. The man died at the scene from his injuries.
Another tragedy occurred on January 8 in the Podosinovsky District. On the Podosinovets–Luza road, a VAZ-11113 car driven by a 49-year-old man collided with a freight train at a level crossing. The driver of the car was killed.
Investigations are being conducted into both incidents to determine their causes and circumstances.
