A Russian cat became the best cat in the world.
An Abyssinian cat from Russia named Darlen Fleur Dalmor Black topped the World Cat Federation (WCF) ranking of top show cats for 2025.
Darlen scored 19,726 points and won the title of world champion, becoming the most decorated member of the feline family last year. The cat was born on June 15, 2024, and represents the Russian club RosKosh. A total of almost 1,500 cats from around the world were included in the WCF ranking for 2025.
The top 10 best cats also included four more representatives from Russia and one participant from Belarus. Second place in the ranking was taken by a Scottish Fold cat from Thailand, third by a British Shorthair cat from Belarus.
In addition, in the preliminary WCF ranking for 2026 the lead is also held by a representative of Russia — a male British Shorthair cat born in 2022.
