In Orichevsky District of Kirov Region, a court ordered the payment of 300,000 rubles in favor of a child who was injured during a summer camp stay, the press reported.
The incident occurred on June 7, 2025. A nine-year-old boy fell from a piece of playground equipment on the camp grounds and broke his arm. An inspection showed that the institution’s staff did not provide proper supervision of the children.
No criminal case was opened in connection with the incident, but the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit seeking compensation for moral damage. The court granted the prosecutor’s claims and ordered the defendant to pay 200,000 rubles in compensation, as well as a 100,000-ruble fine for refusing to voluntarily reimburse the damage.
The Orichevsky District prosecutor’s office will take control of enforcing the court’s decision after it comes into legal force.
