More than 200 pieces of equipment were deployed on the streets of Kirov due to the snowfall.

      Since yesterday evening, the contractors responsible for maintaining Kirov's street and road network have switched to an enhanced work regime. Because of heavy snowfall, the roads have to be cleared almost nonstop. According to the unified dispatch service of JSC Gordormoststroy, the effect of the clearing lasts about an hour after the vehicles pass, so the machines operate in cycles — the same routes are regularly cleared and treated with anti-icing materials. Operators only pause to refuel. Not only all of the contractors' equipment but also vehicles from other organizations were mobilized for the clearing. During the night, 202 units of equipment were deployed on the city's streets. Currently 126 machines are involved in the work, and efforts are underway to increase their number. In the period before the snowfall began and until midnight, 129 tonnes of halite and 137 tonnes of sand-salt mixture were distributed on roads and sidewalks. In addition, the contractors have nearly doubled the volume of snow removal: overnight more than 11,000 cubic meters of snow were sent from Kirov's streets to disposal sites.
