On January 1, residents of Kirov Oblast won more than 23 million rubles in the lottery.

      On January 1, a festive lottery draw took place, after which dozens of major winners emerged in Russia. The country's grand prize of 1 billion rubles was split between three participants for the first time, and one 100-million-ruble winner and 98 new millionaires were also identified.

      Kirov Oblast also turned out to be among the lucky regions. As a result of the draw, residents of the region won a total of 23,032,156 rubles. In total there were 101,479 winning tickets in the oblast purchased for the New Year's draw.

      Two participants from Kirov Oblast became holders of 1-million-ruble prizes. One of the millionaires turned out to be a resident of Kirov, who has already claimed her prize at a lottery center in Moscow. She said she picked the tickets at random and didn't watch the broadcast of the draw, and only found out about the win later when checking the results.

      Ekaterina works as a sales assistant and prefers to spend her free time with her family. She has not yet decided exactly how to spend the winnings, but plans to spend part of the money on a commemorative piece of jewelry.
