Kirov is expecting severe frosts and icy roads.

      According to the Kirov Hydrometeorological Center, on Monday, January 5, it will snow in Kirov at night; the snow will continue during the day, but in slightly smaller amounts. The air temperature will be −6 to −8°C at night and −4 to −6°C during the day. Winds will be southwest and south, with gusts up to 12 m/s. Icy conditions are expected on the roads.

      On Tuesday, January 6, the city will remain mostly cloudy with occasional clear spells; light snow is possible at night, while precipitation during the day is unlikely. Temperatures will fall to −7 to −9°C at night and −6 to −8°C during the day. Icy conditions will remain the main hazard on the roads.

      By midweek, January 7, the cold will intensify: nighttime temperatures will be −14 to −16°C, daytime −10 to −12°C. Little precipitation is expected, but icy conditions will continue to pose a threat to motorists.

      Weather conditions in Kirov Oblast will be more severe: blizzards are forecast in places, with strong wind gusts and nighttime frosts down to −25°C. Road conditions in some areas will also be worsened by snowdrifts.
