One person died in a house fire in Omutninsk.
On Thursday, January 2, fire and rescue units of the Kirov Region responded to three man-made fires and five road traffic accidents, the regional EMERCOM directorate reported.
In Omutninsk, on Vyatskaya Street, a three-apartment residential building caught fire. The fire covered an area of about 60 square meters. Thirteen people and four vehicles from EMERCOM and the departmental fire service worked at the scene. One person died as a result of the fire. The causes of the incident are currently being investigated.
Another fire occurred in the Urzhumsky District in the village of Terebilovka, where a private bathhouse under construction caught fire over an area of 15 square meters. According to preliminary data, the blaze was caused by a malfunctioning heating stove.
