Kirov residents complain about a sharp rise in taxi fares in the evening.
This evening, December 30, residents of Kirov noticed that the cost of services in ride-hailing apps had increased severalfold. We checked the prices of routes to various parts of the city and, according to data from ride-hailing services, the cost of routes within the city was comparable to, and sometimes higher than, prices in major Russian cities.
For example, a trip from downtown Kirov to Fileyka will cost about 506 rubles. To the train station — 661 rubles, and the trip to the airport will cost about 1,661 rubles.
For comparison: a route of similar distance — from the city center to the station — in Nizhny Novgorod costs about 383 rubles. In Saint Petersburg, a similar-distance trip costs on average 901 rubles.
We should also note that residents of the city have noticed over the past week that taxi fares are rising every day. Thus, the price from ODNT to the center of Kirov rose from 92 rubles to 160, and then to 180 rubles. And from Fileyka to the center at the beginning of December you could get there for 200 rubles.
