In Kirov and the region, the minimum wage will increase starting in January.
From January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in Russia will be increased. It will amount to 27,093 rubles per month — this is enshrined in a federal law that comes into force at the beginning of the year.
The increase is linked to a provision according to which the minimum wage must be at least 48% of the country's median salary.
For Kirov and some districts of the region the amount will be higher: a regional coefficient of 1.15 applies there, and it is added on top of the federal minimum wage. Thus, the minimum payment to an employee who has worked the required hours and fulfilled their duties should be increased taking the coefficient into account.
Authorities remind employers: paying less than the established minimum is not allowed — pay below the minimum wage is considered a violation of labor law.
