In Russia, mandarins have become 12% cheaper over the year.
Tangerine prices in Russia have fallen noticeably over the past year. On average a kilogram now costs 185 rubles — compared with 218 rubles in the same period last year. This was reported by the newspaper Kommersant.
At the same time, analysts note that demand for tangerines nationwide has declined by 6%, although the situation varies by region. Residents of Tyumen have begun buying tangerines 34% more often, and in Krasnodar Krai demand rose by 24%.
In several regions, by contrast, prices have risen. Tangerines saw the largest price increase in Perm Krai — up 40% — and in Krasnoyarsk Krai — up 17%.
The study is based on an analysis of more than 6 million sales receipts issued across the country since November 1, 2025. The data were compared with the same period last year. Experts attribute the price decline to improved citrus supplies to Russia. The main exporting countries remain Turkey, Abkhazia and Egypt.
