The events of Saturday, December 27 were especially tragic. During the day on the Kriusha–Sovetsk–Lebyazhye–Vershinyata road a VAZ-2115 passenger car and a Scania truck, driven by a 49-year-old man, collided. The 66-year-old driver and the 60-year-old passenger of the VAZ died at the scene.
Half an hour later a similar tragedy occurred in the Pervomaysky district of Kirov on a section of the Kostroma–Sharya–Kirov–Perm road. A Nissan Almera passenger car collided with a Volvo truck. The 68-year-old driver of the Nissan and his 68-year-old female passenger were killed.
